203.6

Lost those two pounds, but pigged out today.  Oink.  Hope I didn't gain them back.  I had a surplus of calories burned, about 500.  I wonder if my elliptical is accurate.  Worked out today for a total of 56 minutes, it said I burned 1200+ calories.  Hope so.

Trying to find a good place to stay on the beach in Savannah.  Tybee Island doesn't offer much and since when do you have to pay for parking at a hotel?  Might have to crash in Savannah and take a day trip to the beach.  Really wanted to fall asleep to waves crashing but for a room under $100, it's not going to happen.  And why is check in at 4pm but checkout is 11 am.  Not even 24 hours.  Total rip off for a single day.

Either way, I hope my kid & I get a chance to have some quality time at the beach.

205.0

Lately, co-workers have been asking me how much weight I've lost, and I beam "65 lbs."
Then they ask "how."  Eat less, move more.  They groan at this answer because they know it's the correct one but not what they want to hear.  They want to hear I'm on some new miracle diet or pill or perhaps had that gastric bypass surgery.  Nope.  Just losing weight the only correct way to do it.  Eat less, move more.  It's a lifestyle choice, not a passing phase.  I was obese for 30 years.  Don't wanna be that for the next 30.  Time to be a skinny chic, just 50 or 60 pounds to go.  Hubby doesn't want me too skinny, he doesn't like to see bones.  Besides, I gotta figure out how to get rid of the extra skin even after I have gone to muscle.  Heard about some oils & massages to help tighten.  We'll see.

I also need to up my squats.  I noticed my buttocks are getting less round and slightly saggy (extra skin.)  I want buns of steel people!

For now, it's time to purge my closet of 2X & 3X clothing.  Not going to get anything new until I have to.  Still got a pair of size 16 jeans in there I've been hanging onto for 15 years.  New with tags.  Very soon I'm gonna put those on, maybe by the end of summer.  Fingers crossed.

205.8

For the last 3 days, I have been eating a variety of Lean Cuisine Marketplace meals for lunch.  Most are under 300 calories.  They are filling but I do find my tummy growling around 4 pm.  Then I eat a mandarin orange or tangelo, which kinda tides me over until dinner at 7:30 pm.  The fact that they are on sale at Kroger doesn't hurt either.  Gonna stock up tomorrow.

All in all, I lost the weight I gained back (2 lbs) and lost 3 more pounds.  So I am very close to my current goal of being under 200 lbs by March.  Once I hit that, I will continue to do my daily steps & elliptical, but really plan to add the strength training to it as well.  Gotta do something about the fat around my upper thighs and the developing back boobs which are nothing more than skin.

Wanna learn tai chi.  My insurance offers a free class but it's almost 30 minutes away from home at 7 pm at night when I don't like to be driving.  My night vision has gone to crap.  So youtube will be my teacher.

Time to go shopping & do some laundry on my one day off this part of the week.  Tomorrow I gotta go in for 4 hours of PREA training.  Can't complain too much, it's an extra 4 hours of pay and the class is needed only every 2 years.  Kinda like the GCIC recert.  If your wondering what kind of job I have, it's in law enforcement, but I'm not a cop.

I haven't even had breakfast yet and already did 10 minutes on my elliptical.  Yeah I'm bragging, I'm doing GREAT!

208 V-Day

Lost a few ounces.

My husband bought me some purple tulips for V-day.  They are lovely.  He's gonna help me dig up a spot to plant them after they have bloomed so I can enjoy them year after year.

My V-day was pretty good.  Did 4 sessions on my elliptical.  Made the mistake of eating at McD's for lunch and then Longhorns for dinner.  Longhorns would have been fine except I also ate some white chocolate truffles too.  My calories limit is WAY over today.   Tomorrow will be a smoothie for breakfast, tuna & brussel sprouts for lunch and I still have no clue what I'm making for dinner.

But, tomorrow is another day to do right.  Kroger had Lean Cuisine entrees on sale so I got me 8 for work lunches.  Plan to get more on Monday, after I make some more space in my freezer.

I am content.  Tomorrow I want to go to Sprouts, they have a BOGO sale.  Wanna get some overpriced Collagen Peptides.  Curious to see if it works on my skin & joints.

208.6 HVAC DAY

Yep, lost another pound.  Yeah me!

Mainly I wanted to post so I have something to remind me of the day some folks came to my house and installed a new furnace & a/c.  Being me, I hate visitors.  But, living in a southern state means I need both.  We've been getting by with space heaters for about 2 months now, but enough is enough and these folks at Hammocks offered a great deal on a Trane system.  This should last us about 20 years or more for both with regular maintenance.

Back to work tomorrow.  I was really enjoying having every other week off from work this year.  Oh well, next week off isn't until March.  Sigh.  I see spring cleaning in my future.

same day...209.2

OMG...I actually lost weight today.  2 mile hike at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park with my kid seems to be the best way to ditch those macaron calories we consumed from that Douceur De France Bakery we hit up on the way over.  Grabbed some chicken salad sandwiches on baguettes for a picnic before our hike.  Ooh la la.

210

So I said goodbye to 212 for once and all!  Hello to the last 11 pounds before I can finally be under 200!  YES!

I'm off from work this week, so I plan to start every morning with a healthy smoothie.  Load up on all those vitamins.  Lunch will vary depending on the day and what I'm doing.  Dinner will be determined by either what my husband will eat or if I have the calories to spare.

Here is a great article about Smoothies vs. Shake for those who might be interested.

Getting in all my steps and plenty of cardio this week, as well as some strength exercises.
